Short Trip to Ajmer

Woo Hoo! I went for my first solo vacation to Ajmer. It was everything I wanted to do during this summer.

Bored with buildings, malls and metros I wanted to explore some part of the world I have never experienced before. After my 3-day journey to Bangalore last month, I wanted to learn more about Indian trains, its routes and the story behind every journey.

Staying at Abhishek's place reminded me of my hostel years during Engineering. The TV was an extra bonus.

The best part of the trip was the camel ride @ Pushkar. Felt a bit cheated as there was no 'desert' as such, still a new experienced.

The name of the camel is Jannu. The plan was to ride with her throughout the desert. Came to know there are no deserts in Pushkar. I will have to visit Jaisalmer and get a proper ride next time.

Yeah! Looks like the real deal right? Unfortunately, that's where the sand starts and end. All inside one photo.

Felt at home in Ajmer. Flat roads surrounded by small hills. The above picture is one of the best shot we took. The Anna Sagar looks fantastic. The good thing about Ajmer was there were no tall buildings and they have very open surroundings.

Overall, it was a short and comfortable trip, one which I thoroughly enjoyed.
